Game Dev using GameMaker - bring the kids!

Lectures at 100p and 600p on how to usKIDS WELCOME …. GAMEBUILDING FOR WINDOWS 8 AND WINDOWS PHONE USING GAMEMAKER

GameMaker is a power visual environment for building games that can run easily on a variety of platforms, such as Windows 8, Windows Phone, and even Android and iOS. During this session we’ll explore the basics of the GameMaker User Interface, build several sample games, and talk about publishing your game to the Windows Stores. We’ll also explore the available tutorials and templates that you can use to jumpstart your app-building with GameMaker.

This is a beginner session. If you understand some basic algebra and scripting you will love this talk. Middle school and up children are WELCOME. They will love this talk.

REQUIREMENTS:

Have a store registration ready to go before the event. Students get in free. Email [masked] with any questions.

Have Windows 8 installed

Have GameMaker Studio Free ( NOT GameMaker Lite ) installed – link here - http://www.yoyogames.com/gamemaker/studio
