This is really an amazing camping area, most of the TAG staff been here and love it! Join us, it's only a short drive from Tampa (30-45mins). Pull up to the group camp site in your car, unload, set up your tent, and you are camping in Florida!

This unique TAG adventure takes us to a group campground on the shore of the Little Manatee River. With hot showers, running water, electric outlets and our famous, homemade spaghetti dinner, this camping trip will have all the creature comforts you desire in a beautiful rustic setting.

January in Florida means cool weather and camping! Don't own a tent or sleeping bag? No problem, we have you covered. Rent a camping package and save money without having to buy new gear. If you have your own camping gear, grab your tent and sleeping bags and join TAG for a fun camping adventure.

Daily Itinerary


Friday - Day 1

Arrive at the campsite around 4PM and check in with a TAG staff member. Set up your tents, fire up the stove or grill and cook dinner, go for a leisurely evening hike, or relax around the fire ring with other TAG members.

If you have added the camping gear package, your tent, sleeping bag, pad, and lantern will be set up and ready when you arrive.

Saturday - Day 2
Wake up and prepare your own breakfast while spending some relaxing time around the fire. In the late morning, join TAG for an optional paddle down the Little Manatee River, which runs right through the campground. If you are interested in this excursion and need to rent a kayak or canoe, visit the onsite office. When renting a canoe or kayak, mention you are with TAG to receive the group discount.

Kayak Paddle on Saturday

Kayaks and canoe rentals are available and include a $5.00 off TAG discount. We plan on launching around 11:00AM from the on-site beach next to the campsite. The paddle down river will take about 2 to 3 hours then a shuttle bus will pick us up and return us to the camp site around 1-2PM. After the paddle, enjoy your lunch with free time for more hiking, canoeing, kayaking, photography, fishing, birding, etc.

Saturday Spaghetti Dinner

Conquer your camping hunger with this feast. Your home-made Italian dinner, prepared by Chef Stan, will be ready around 4PM. See the dinner menu below. Save room after dinner, you will have a chance at roasting the perfect smore over the camp fire.

Sunday- Day 3:
Wake up, enjoy your breakfast and soak up the last quiet moments away from daily life before packing up for the short drive home. By 11AM please pack up your gear, break down tents and checkout with the TAG staff before leaving. TAG members who rented gear can leave the tents as is, we will pack up for you.

    • Delicious hand-rolled, 100% beef, home-made Italian meatballs
    • Made-from-scratch red wine and garlic spaghetti sauce

  • Alcohol is permitted but drink responsibly! Know your limits!
  • No driving or boating while drinking will be tolerated
  • No firearms, fireworks, or dangerous items
  • No loud music or noise after 11:00PM
  • Respect the camp property so we can come again
  • Follow the directions from the TAG Staff members
