I'm running way too late again, but wanted to get this announcement up with a little bit of notice for our second meeting at Sacred Grounds.
We had a nice time last meeting at Sacred Grounds - we had several people from the shop who joined us in the games, including Lauren, Catherine, Mandy, and even Karen!
Here's the list for this meeting:
Bang!: This is a game of hidden identities (sort of like a distant cousin to Werewolf) in which the players are gunslingers of the American Wild West, having a shootout. Every player has a different goal: The Sheriff wants to kill the Outlaws, the Deputies want to help the Sheriff, the Outlaws are gunning for the Sheriff and anybody else they can gun down, and the Renegade wants to be the last man standing. The trick is, nobody knows for sure who anybody else is, except for the Sheriff - who has the big silver badge (that looks a lot like a target!).
Hey! That's my Fish!: This is a very light abstract game of keeping your team of Penguins fed - they move from ice floe to ice floe, collecting fish, hoping to get more than the others!
Stone Age: This is a very intricate worker placement game - you have a tribe that you lead in collecting food, learning new skills, and gathering resources. This is a fascinating and well produced game, that I'm sure we'll enjoy!
Ilium: Lead your team of archaeologists to excavate and investigate the ruins of Troy! Collect artifacts and claim the most valuable sites. This is a fun light game by Reiner Knizia!
Come on out and learn some great new games!
