I know some of you wern't too keen on John Kirkpatrick, looking at his biog, Lichfield were lucky to get him! He's played with a lot of well known bands and is highly regarded in the folk scene!

Thanks, Alison for suggesting this. Maybe a few more folk things next year? I know we both like Warwick folk festival, it's a great day out.

Wanted to stay until the end :(
A great day though all in all and absolutely loved Folklaw. I have noticed from their web site they are playing at Coopers Tavern, Burton on Trent on 5th December , might have to look further into this.
How were the last two bands?

I had to leave early too but saw jiganics who were excellent and the first bit of pig. I liked folklaw and as for the young people, they were fantastic

Folk music is not really my sort of music, but this was a great day. The young people Wildfire Folk I think, were excellent. As were FolkLaw and Jigantic. And the others were very good too. Good day :-)

Couple of questions: Is anyone planning to get there earlier than the planned 12:30 meet-up so that they can see the first act which starts at 12:15? Also, what are people doing for meals? Finally, how do I pay Alison for my ticket as she unfortunately can't attend. Michael

    October 22, 2013

    • Margaret

Hi Michael, I'm Margaret the Volunteer Co-ordinator for this event in the absence of Alison. I will be at the venue just about 12 noon or thereabouts as Alison has left the tickets at this event for us to collect. It will, therefore, be possible for you to see the first act at 12.15. The day, which is a long one, can be flexible. I am sure people will be able to leave the event and return to enable them to eat (although no table is booked at anywhere particular, but Lichfield does have a good supply of restaurants). We can split into different groups if people want to venture to different types of restaurant - everything from a Maccy D to Italian. We can decide on the day. Finally, I have emailed Alison to ask her how I can pay her. I respectfully suggest maybe an email to her from yourself may help, however, she may need a few days or so to respond.

      October 22, 2013

    • michael w.

Thanks for that. I've e-mailed Alison about payment.
