That would be lovely and so glad that we have a map reader or two amongst us. Lol, my running days are long gone as regretfully I've buggered myself a bit but enjoyed myself none the less.

So you so much cross country running?

Look forward to seeing you all again soon :-)

Thank you to everyone who braved the weather tonight to join in with the National Forest Walking Festival.
Sadly the festival is coming to a close now so thank you to everyone for the support you have given to these events and the group.

Thanks Luke. I just read it from a brochure though. When I have some more time I will look for the walk on the maps. Perhaps Tina's friend (John) could look for us. He's King of the maps! Would be great to run this walk again in finer weather!

A lovely stroll with interesting facts, lovely scenery including some beautiful cattle, sheep and lambs and two most beautiful and energetic horses. Ohhhh the lovely quaint houses one found along the way were breathtakingly beautiful. As ever the quality of the people who came along was exquisite and such a pleasure seeing old friends and new. We are so very fortunate to have such a diverse, fun and friendly people within the group. Thanks for making it a pleasurable evening.

A walk I hadn't completed before. Saw some lovely scenery, gorgeous horses, cute lambs and a nice sunset. The rain wasn't too bad - we've had worse! :-)

It was indeed very beautiful and boy yes have we had worse but what a laugh that was, I don't think I will ever forget having tea and cake on a park bench in a deluge yet we had such a laugh about it and we carried on as if it were a sunny day. It's memories like those that one has with fondness, one of life's little adventures and for that I am forever grateful to you all :-)

Please be aware that it is raining along this end of the A38, despite the met office saying it was a cloudy day. There's been three light rain showers and the third is still doing its best!

Looking at my list. I need to know if Luke, Richard, Isobel, Lesley, Steve are having a meal - otherwise it is just me and there's no point in that case. All others are walk only.

    Hi
This will be my first event. Can you tell me what time I need to be there to join you for food before the walk and where we will be meeting.
    Thanks

    1 · May 21, 2014

    • Margaret

I will be sending out emails shortly.

      1 · May 21, 2014

  • Margaret

Bearing in mind the rain after the sun, I will keep my eye on the weather forecast and update this site over the weekend for this event.
This walk is an external event as part of the National Forest Walking Festival as will, no doubt, go ahead no matter what the weather.
As long as it isn't forecast for heavy showers/thunder, I will definitely be going.

    1 · May 20, 2014

  • Margaret

There is no need to book yourself on this event, according to the flyer.
