Foundations, Tao Yin & Tai Chi Chi Kung

Learn to transform stress into vitality, recycle & transform emotions and cultivate your life force, Chi.

We will start the first hour with foundation practices - a basic chi gong warm up including some structural work and then some meditation. Building on what you learn in the first hour of the class I will guide you through learning more about your inner physical and energetic structure with some yoga like floor exercises. The Tao Yin exercises work by getting us to drop into the body and move from our core. They strengthen & bring flexibility to our spine, core muscles and the tendons. We will then bring what we learn on the floor into the standing position and practice some Tai Chi Chi Kung, exercises to develop your centre - opening your ability to breath and move from you centre.

If people know the forms we will finish the class with a round of Tai Chi Chi Kung and then a round of Primordial Chi Kung.

The practices are for health and self development. If it is your first lesson this is the beginning of a journey into Taoist inner alchemy, detoxing and cultivating the energy of the internal organs. By the end of the class you will have learned a set of exercises and meditations that you can practice in your own time to cultivate your emotional, mental and physical health.

Cost: 1 class £15 or 3 classes for £36 (£12 per session)

Come along, give it a try and make some new friends.

Sorry, I'm not going to be able to make it this evening. I will be looking out for future dates, though I'm away for some Fridays the next few weeks. I really hope that I will be able to attend very soon. Best wishes, Tracy
