We are inspired by the Mother of all Demos by Douglas Engelbart's team at SRI in 1968 which unleashed a wave of innovation. We are looking for the demos to unleash innovation for the 21st century which will be the first century in which almost all of the people of the planet are connected and communicating.

Our meetups will bring "Makers of tools" together with "Do-ers" who are organizing communities and making things happen, and the essential "Shakers" - the facilitators that keep groups alive and vibrant.

IF you are part of a group (Do-er) and are looking for better tools to organize to get things done, you should join.

If you have a collaboration tool (Maker) or are a facilitator (Shaker) who can help groups work better, you should join.

We are inspired by the Makers Faire - and want to put great people doing great things with great people making great tools and great facilitators who can keep groups buzzing, vibrant and fun.

The successful joining together of Makers, Shakers and Doers will be celebrated in the creation of a virtual exhibit that will be part of the Global Design challenge for tools for collective intelligence and the winners will be displayed at The Tech and the MIT Museum, and may be chosen for display by Science and Technology museums around the world.

Great examples of collective wisdom that our group comes up will be featured in our monthly TV series, www.FutureTalk.net broadcast on Channel 27 in Redwood City, Atherton, Menlo Park, Palo Alto.
