This was a unique foodie event hosted by George Motz the author of Hamburger America who also has appeared on the Travel Channel's Made in America and Burger Land. We got to meet most of the people in the films and taste their food creations. Charleston is a vibrant city allowing us to explore their many seafood restaurants during the days there. The many attractions around the city added to the experience. It was a very nice mini-vacation and Kim was a wonderful host.

This trip was SO MUCH FUN. The great thing was that because each night's event started between 7 and 8 p.m. we had plenty of time to explore the city of Charleston. We walked, and we walked, and we walked. No doubt, seeing films aboard an historic aircraft carrier on that first night and having barbecue prepared by world championship pit-masters was the ultimate experience. Nothing could possibly top that. The second night was a bit of a let-down but the third night more than made up for it with some heart-warming food films and great food. Each night we got take home goody bags.

Great films tonight along with tasting some fantastic blue crab that was the best seafood dish by far. We have been eating at some of the best seafood restaurants Charleston has to offer during the day loving a shrimp filled hush puppy at Fleet Landing and the She Crab soup and fresh scallops at Hank's.

The food was a big disappointment compared to the night before, but we had a wonderful time during the day.

We just had tonight some of the best BBQ we have ever tasted cooked by seven award winning pitmasters
