I started running in June 2011. It started out with a goal of completing the two mile block around where I live which I have walked daily since 1994. After I did that I started running further distances and in March 2012 I ran my first half marathon -- the Shamrock'n 1/2 Marathon. I ran the complete course and was so pleased with myself that I signed up for California International Marathon. I have just started training for that and am hoping that I will be able to actually complete it.
Yes. I have been following a plant based diet since July 2011.
Only the Shamrock'n Half Marthon in March 2012.
My name is Susan Powers. I am interested in being as healthy and fit as I can and realize that it requires hard work and commitment to maintain that goal. Running while keeping to a plant based diet seems like a really good plan for a healthy life.
This will be a great help in my training for the CIM.
