Discussion and Feedback Session

Good Afternoon All,

I believe we can all gain a great deal of value from a semi-regular feedback session, one where volunteers can share with the entire group some of what they are working and get immediate feedback and potential follow-on discussions with members of the group.

I am pleased to announce that our next meetup will be a feedback session and Brett Diamond has graciously offered to host it at his VentureX facility. It is a very cool shared office space, about 100 feet from where we usually meet at the pub.

Those of you who would like to present, please send me an email at [masked] with a short paragraph describing what you are working on. I will allocate time in 15 minute increments which you may use any way you wish, although I recommend spending no more than 10 minutes talking about what you are working on in order to get at least 5 minutes of Q&A and Feedback.

The event will be Bring Your Own Food&Beverage. However, for those who want, I can arrange to bring in Pizza/Beer/Wine. Those of you who would prefer that, can send me $10 via paypal to [masked]. In the message field on paypal, please specifiy if you prefer Beer, Red or White Wine as well as One preferred pizza topping. I will try to accommodate everyone as much as possible.

I look forward to seeing everyone at VentureX on Feb 19th.

Thanks,

Farouk

    Hi everybody.
    thank you for participating yesterday.
Indeed, I owe you a briefing on the business model soceanIQ uses with its clients:
    a) discovery, analysis, workflow development and API installation. This has a value of > 50k per client. The discovery phase provides the estimate for client production needs: provisioning of platform, of workflows, and of telecom.
    b) monthly invoices for
    - access to platform >5k/mo
    - use of each workflow > 700/mo
    - use of communication channels such as telecom (email, voice, SMS), and letter.

again, thank you for participating and for feedback.
    Adrian

I found it curious that none of the presenters spent any time on how their services would generate revenue. Technology is nice, but for investors time should be allocated to giving examples of potential customers, the benefits those customers would capture should they adopt the service, and the value those customers would place on capturing the benefits.

Hello Bill, while I appreciate the feedback on improving the presentations overall, I wanted to mention that the 1st half of my presentation focused on who CGschool was, our customer base, and the products / services that do make us money.

Didn't know we were pitching. I thought it was more to do with tech and business challenges. I'm game for round two lol

Overall, I thought it was a very good session, and the presenters did a great job. It's nice to have a visual of what you all have been working on- I've been hearing bits and pieces from some of you, and to capture the full effect with power point, some good Q&A and feedback was really informative. Excellent session.

Thanks Farouk for putting this together.

A microphone might have compensated for the poor acustic... but I appreciated the informal format and the great conversation with other attendees..
