Tech On Tap - Orlando

Wednesday, December 11th from 6:30-8pm

Envy Labs
618 E. South Street, Suite 620
Orlando, FL 32801

Come network with other Techies, learn from our special guest speaker, and enjoy a cold drink.

Our Special Guest for December is Jen Vargas.  Jen is a TV/Film Producer & Social Media Advocate. She is currently working on a project called #Glass4good. This project focuses on using Google Glass to make positive impacts on the Florida community, and one day, all over the world!

Jen also a co-producer and co-writer for a television show about Florida filmmakers on VISION/OrangeTV called, "Indie Cinema Showcase." Jen a dedicated advocate for Florida's film community, Social Media volunteer for Enzian Theater's monthly filmmaker event FilmSlam, and a voting member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' Suncoast Chapter.

Jen will be presenting about Google Glass and how it will change our lives. This is a Tech On Tap event that you do not want to miss!

Tech On Tap – Orlando brings the technology to the tap by filling all of our members with vast amounts of technology knowledge while networking and enjoying a cold beverage from the tap.

What is it? Tech on Tap is a technology event, where attendees get together to hear people present about technology they use and love. We want to talk about technology and drink some beer. Since we love technology and beer we thought it would be a great idea to bring them together with other like minded individuals.

How does it work? The idea is to create a user group environment without a lot of the user group formality. The tech on tap staff will be sponsoring the event and bringing in top talent for all of us to learn from. What does it cost? It’s free… Free knowledge, Free Networking, and Free Cold Drinks.

Appetizers, Water, Soda, Beer, and Wine will provided at the event. (Must be 21 to consume any alcohol)

I enjoyed getting a chance to try Google Glass. It would've been a lot better if the speaker had a mike. Even better still, if the Glass had been ported to a display during the talk. Also would've been nice if water had been available for those who didn't care to drink alcohol.

While the presenter was very nice, more tech savvy would have made it. This meetup is always good though and will be attending next month

Lol. It's all good! I'm not sure how much Techy we could be anyways the gdk hasn't been out too long, and with limited devs having it... Making it very interesting to find out developer opinions. Link me to the video of the house move whenever you post it though.

Very true. I'll get better with translation, I promise. Meanwhile, here's my Glass video of the Capen House! It's about 5 minutes long: https://plus.google.co...
