Hi, Everyone -
The notes from the June and July sessions are now online.
- In June, Dominic McDevitt-Parks and Dylan Kinnett introduced Wikipedia and discussed how the Walters has been using Wikipedia to fulfill its mission. (Notes from Dominic's and Dylan's presentations.)
- In July, Chris Tuttle reviewed 25 easy-to-implement opportunities to help nonprofit charities build better relationships, take more actions, and raise more money. (Notes from Chris' presentation.)
Please feel free to add any missing items to these notes if you were at either of the events.
Tech & Social Change is taking a break for the rest of the summer. Our next session will be in September. Look for an announcement about it in the next couple of weeks.
But don't worry! Even without a Tech & Social Change meetup this month, there's a few other tech-related events for you to attend.
- Mappy Hour. (August 15 at 6 pm) On the third Thursday of every month, Geomore gets together to talk maps and GIS. Anyone interested in mapping is invited.
- Super Meetup of Tech Meetups. (August 29 at 7 pm) Technically Baltimore is hosting a meetup of all of Baltimore's tech meetups, and you're invited. This is an easy way to get out and meet people from Baltimore's tech scene. There will be drinks and snacks as well as an opportunity for everyone to get to know a little more about all of the tech meetups in town.
And lastly, don't forget to fill out Gayle Carney's one question survey about the biggest technology challenge at your nonprofit.
