Rompr is a web and mobile app where parents share the fun - post about fun stuff they did with the kids, and get personalized recommendations on what to do next. We solve 2 major parental needs: 1) Expressing yourself as an *awesome* parent. Parents are the new Young, and sharing is King - but posting about what you did with your kids is potentially annoying on Facebook, doesn’t build your status as a parent, and can’t help other parents out. 2) Being in the know. There is lots of available information online, but that's part of the problem - who has the time? What parents want is a word from a local, like-minded parent. Rompr users see recommendations from other parents tailored just for them using our proprietary algorithm. The three co-founders (myself, Naama Katiee and Dr. Shachar Lovett) are currently in the final stages of bootstrapped development, and plan to launch our beta Feb 2012. We'll soon be making parenting awesome on www.rompr.com - join us now!
I'm a co-founder of Rompr, where we're busy making parenting awesome. An experienced developer, project and product manager, with a BA in computer science and an MBA from INSEAD, this is my first venture outside the corporate world, and I love it!
