Baltimore TechBreakfast: Show and Tell and MARKETING

THE DECEMBER EVENT IS AT THE ETC IN CANTON

Interact with your peers in a monthly morning breakfast meetup. At this new monthly breakfast get-together developers, designers, and entrepreneurs share best practices, advice, and experiences in topic-based discussions. There are no speakers, just people like you learning from other people like you. Each month we'll coordinate a topic, but we're happy to let the conversation go where people are interested.

We're continuing the great show and tell experience at our next Baltimore TechBreakfast meetup. Have something you've been working on that you'd like some feedback on? Have something that you'd like to share? Have a kernel of an idea that you'd like some thoughts on developing further? Bring it to the Baltimore TechBreakfast and share it with the group. If you have something that will be more than a few minutes, drop us an email and we can make sure to schedule it in so we have enough time for everyone.

We will be limiting the show and tell to just 3 per TechBreakfast (to manage time more effectively). There will be 7 minutes of presentation and 3 minutes of Q&A. If this one is filled up, don't despair - we want you at our next one! Sign up for that one too.

Agenda for December 2011 Show and Tell:

8:00 - 8:15 - Get yer Bagels & Coffee and chit-chat

8:15 - 8:25 - Using Baltimore City's Open Data API - Shea Frederick

The TechBreakfast keeps getting better and better. I really enjoyed the more technical, programming presentations as well as the inspiring personal space suit. I think everyone wants one of those, but how many will take the jump from space altitude to land to earth without a shoot?

Another great TechBreakfast this morning - really diverse group of people, great presentations, and excellent discussion on marketing techniques. My takeaway for this one (besides seeing some great talent in the area) is that marketing is not one size fits all. One method that works for a company may not work for another. Use all avenues of marketing concurrently - some will succeed, some won't. Great job organizing Ron - looking forward to another packed house next month.

Hello, my name is Matt Sachse and I am new to Baltimore TechBreakfast. My partner David Helkowski and I are in the final leg of bringing our new Enterprise Content Management platform 'XML Fat', to being. We are looking to communicate our ideas to like minded individuals to understand how to take our product from application to business.

Part of our vision is to see data management solutions simplified to a point where anyone should be able to author and share data to anyone in any format.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
