Introduction

I have recently come up for air after a long stint as a development exec. in a wireless co. Looking to learn about new opportunities where I can add value and contribute to the region's tech sector growth.

What do you do as it related to tech?

Business development, operations and strategy experience in small, large, new and growing businesses. Recently completed 4 yr stint as LightSquared’s VP for business development and management of partnerships with U.S. and international carriers. From '05 through Feb. '08, was Managing Director of Md’s World Trade Center Institute. In March '07, I co-founded Gateway CSI, a business integrated service provider. Between 2000 and '05 I ran a boutique strategy and development firm that advised telecom and information technology companies, including Real User, an information security company where I served as COO from 2002 to 2004. During the earlier part of my career, I held positions at Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) in field engineering, operations, network finance, marketing, international and business development. I helped plan the development of what is now Verizon by project-managing corporate integration planning for the BA merger with NYNEX and the subsequent merger with GTE.

What do you do as it does not relate to tech? (e.g. hobbies and stuff)

My wife Jackie and I live in Columbia, Md. I still try to play golf, love surf fishing in the Outer Banks and am an amateur singer and guitar player. I served for six years in the Maryland Army National Guard. Go O's, Ravens and Terps!
