OK maybe put the venue back to Elephant... I think it should be OK. So the place is pretty big, let's all meetup at the back of the venue.. there's a nice little bar and then we can figure out the rest.

I tried calling to confirm the booking and the guy on the line said there was no record (I called last week).
I asked about the room and he said there was a booking. Well done. I've been running around like a frantic man.

OK I have the 'bigwig' calling me back in the next 30 apparently from Elephant and Castle. She said reservations didn't seem too busy tonite. The place is really big, and I put in a tentative reservation for 30 people in the back room. I saw we just meet there as planned. I'll update if I get a call back.

Well the point is to find somewhere we can actually..meet. Fair call on the spice place. If anybody can organize anywhere shoot me a call on [masked]. I'm out of options.

So just to confirm, the massive Elephant and Castle said we can't show up? maybe we should stick to our guns and meet in the back area and take up tables as they become available.

I can also get us into Frida Restaurant & Bar, 999 Eglinton Ave W, Toronto, ON M6C 2C7 . What have others got? What do we prefer?
Spice Safar is nice. There will be a private party there but we can sneak in too.

I may be able to get us into Spice Safar. My biggest concern is only 5-10 may shop up due to venue change at the last minute!

P.S. I'm not assuming all 40 will show up. The nature of free events and a last minute venue change, probably 20-30 in my 'best guess'.
