This will be our fourth Techshock where we will focus on the tools and tricks to build scalable web applications.
The meetup will be held in VG's auditorium, in Akersgata 55
(Map: http://goo.gl/maps/eR4mU ). Refreshments will be available during the meetup. After the meetup we will head to a nearby pub and socialize over a few beers.

18.00 - 18.05: TechShock introduction
A short introduction to TechShock and the evenings schedule.
18.05 - 18.30: Varnish
Per Buer (Founder & CTO) of Varnish software will come and talk about Varnish and how it will make your web applications become blazing fast.
18:30 - 19:00: VG Infrastructure
VGs Head of Operations Audun Ytterdal will tell us about the infrastructure VG requires. VG is one of the biggest sites in Norway when measuring in both unique users and page views and we've seen and found solutions for all the different problems that arises when dealing with huge amounts of traffic.
19:00 - 19:15: Food break / socializing
We'll eat some food and socialize.
19:15 - 19:40: SPiD Event-Tracking - Fully Automated and Scalable Architecture on Amazon Cloud
Magne Thyrhaug from Schibsted Payment will show how they've built a scalable solution for event-tracking using Amazon Cloud and how Auto-Scaling enables them to handle huge traffic peaks.
19:45 - 20:00: Node.js High Performance Sessions
Schibsted Payment uses Node.js to provide a Single-Sign On solution with real-time sessions checking. This is usually done per page view, which results in huge amounts of traffic. Mikael Lindström will show why and how they solved this with Node.js.
