Autodesk Meetup at TechShop Detroit

Share what you know and ask questions about what you don't. What a great way to learn tricks and tips for Autodesk software! Bring in your Autodesk files to share with others at the meet-up (and don't forget to bring your latest prototype!) Meet-up emcee is Patrick Miller, TechShop instructor and education developer for Autodesk software.

This meet-up is free and open to TechShop members.

This month’s demo topic is constraints; including, but not limited to, assembly constraints, constraint-based motion, and contact sets!

Constraints allow you to position components relative to other components in the assembly. You can also exercise motion based on the applied constraints. Contact sets dictate which components Inventor looks at for interference when moving in an assembly.

I would like to talk about how to get a copy of Autodesk Simulation (CFD) for Techshop. I downloaded the trial offer and was amazed, I could use it for various projects. It could be useful for aero on bikes and cars, or temperture on electronic enclosures.
