Tech Tuesdays are a series of informal monthly meetings that bring together Adult Basic Education (ABE) administrators, educators and supporters to share information and resources about new and promising technological tools.
Together, the group learns how to use new web-based technology, integrate it into practice and network with individuals and organizations committed to advancing the adult basic education community.
Our face-to-face events are organized in Toronto and scheduled on the FIRST Tuesday of each month. During our meetings we discuss web-based tools that can support ABE, such as wikis, blogs, podcasts, Twitter, Facebook, and more.
Approximately two weeks after the face-to-face meeting, we organize a webinar on the same topic to reach out to those who could not participate in person.
The Tech Tuesdays meetings are organized by AlphaPlus, a non-profit organization that strives to increase adult literacy skills through the use of digital technologies by supporting educators and stakeholders with research, tools and training.
