If you’re interested in designing physical and digital experiences, join us on June 24th for our next event. Stas Vaisman will talk about the UX design process of car interfaces in comparison to other fields such as consumer electronics, as well as how the car industry can improve through better design thinking.
Born in Moldova and raised in Stuttgart, Germany, Stas is a User Experience Designer based in NYC. He is currently conducting a research study on the “user experience development process” as an independent research scholar at the PACE University. Stas has worked at the Porsche R&D Center and later at the Mercedes-Benz R&D Center on the conceptual development of next-generation in-car dashboard systems (e.g. Porsche 918 Spyder).
He started drawing cars at the age of 10, graphic design at the age of 14, and will graduate as a M.Sc. in Computer Science and Media by the end of 2014. Being fascinated with cars from a very early age, Stas believes that the state of in-car UX is still at its very beginning and that the car industry will need to undergo some drastic changes in order to produce more appropriate and more advanced experiences.
Stas speaks 3 languages, worked as a club-promoter in San Diego, and always dreamt of becoming a professional basketball player.
There will be networking time before and after Stas’ talk. Refreshments will be served.
