Lat Ware: Star-Wars, Superpowers, and video games you control with your mind

Have you ever wanted to be a Jedi-Master?

Throw Trucks with your Mind! is a video game that is controlled by your brain, giving you jedi-like powers. According to Lat Ware, Crooked Tree Studio founder and game developer,Throw Trucks is about fulfilling childhood fantasies of being a Jedi and winning battles by having a stronger mind.

It may sound like Sci-Fi, but with a successful Kickstarter campaign under its belt, Throw Trucks with your Mind! is definitely science-fact.

Lat Ware joins us to talk Star-Wars, superpowers, and video game design.

Test your own Jedi powers and Xplore:
1. How the concept behind Throw Trucks with your Mind! was born
2. How EEG technology works in the game to give players jedi-master powers
3. Test your own Jedi powers in a live demo of Throw Trucks

About Lat:
Lat Ware is a game developer who learned the trade at DigiPen Institute of Technology. He has worked on three AAA games, but has always dreamed of pushing the limits of what's possible in gaming and found that difficult to do at large, established studios. In October, 2012, he struck out on his own to make a game that fulfilled his childhood dream of telekinesis, which took the form of Throw Trucks With Your Mind! The game launches on March 31st, 2014.

Tonight was amazing.. good food, lovely chocolate (YUM), craft yummy beer, and drinks started out the night. Then we were treated to a gifted songwriter / singer. The main event was a very talented and gifted inventor "Lat Ware" who is passionate about helping change the future for kids and adults facing challenges like ADD, ADHD, Autism, and other, more physical issues. After the demonstration and talk, PP held a raffle with great prizes. Altogether the evening was full of magical moments of fun and education.
My grandson (who has asperger's - a unique form of Autism) won one of the EEG headgear sets and I won another of them. We're excited to see if using the "Star Wars" program that was demonstrated tonight can help him gain more focus for his life . My grandson's very interested because it's "game" technology. Thank you Paypal for providing this session and for all you do to enrich our community. This was our 1st session but will certainly not be our last !

I just viewed the photos from the event and have to say, those are the most artistic shots I've ever seen taken at a public talk. Well done, and thanks for capturing the evening.

An inspiring lecture, showing how determination and cleverness can overcome ADD and other obstacles. Plus, the event was made extra-special with the addition of the opening act (Peter Chung), the robot bartender and the delicious Marich chocolates!
