Tech in Motion invites you to be a part of the inaugural Made in Philadelphia: Tech Panel Discussion!
With some of Philadelphia's best and brightest tech innovators in the community speaking, the panel will explore how they got started, what it's like to build a tech team from scratch, the benefits and challenges of starting their teams in Philadelphia, and the future of Philly tech.
Following the panel discussion, we will open up the event to a Q & A session for the audience to ask any remaining questions.

Rick Nucci | @ricknucci
Founder of Boomi, Co-Founder of Guru and Philly Startup Leaders President
Rick has been an entrepreneur in the Philadelphia area since 1999. Rick was the Founder and CTO of Boomi, which defined and led a new segment as the industry’s first cloud integration platform-as-a-service. Boomi was acquired by Dell in 2010, where Rick went on to run the Boomi business for Dell, helping grow the organization into the industry leader it is today. Rick has 15+ years of experience as an entrepreneur, CTO, and leader.
Rick is also a Venture Partner at FirstMark Capital where he works with current and prospective portfolio companies on areas of strategy, technology, and execution. He also frequently speaks at industry events on topics of cloud computing, API's, and integration. Rick is currently the president of Philly Startup Leaders, one of the most active entrepreneur groups in Philadelphia.

Managing Director of DreamIt Philadelphia
Patrick is the Managing Director for DreamIt Ventures’ Philadelphia Program. Outside of DreamIt,Patrick is an entrepreneurship lecturer in the Wharton School of Business and a mentor in the school’s Venture Initiation Program. Over the past decade, he has built or helped to build a variety of well-known startups. He has also helped to build a variety of now defunct lesser known startups.
Patrick is the creator, co-founder and former President of Recyclebank which rewards people for taking everyday green actions with discounts and deals from thousands of local and national businesses. Recyclebank was listed as one of Fast Company’s World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies and was rated as the top Venture-backed Clean-tech Company by the Wall Street Journal. Patrick is also the former CEO of Nanny Caddy, the vending machine for parents on the go (SeaWorld, Legoland, Philadelphia International Airport, etc.).
Mr. FitzGerald was once upon a time an attorney, receiving his J.D. from Fordham University and his B.A from the University of Pennsylvania. He is the father of three young boys and thus, rarely needs to exercise.

Chief Architect and Technical Lead for PeopleLinx products. Solution utilizes Google Cloud, Python, and Django Web Framework. Within the Google Cloud, PeopleLinx uses: Datastore, BigQuery, CloudSQL, AppEngine, Compute Engine, and Cloud Storage.
Formerly worked at Razorfish, and Comcast, and was the CTO of Ticketleap for nearly four years.

Founder & CEO of Real Food Works
is the founder and CEO of Real Food Works, which delivers plant-based meal programs for health and weight loss, using local restaurants as suppliers. Before following her passion into food and health, Lucinda founded and run a number of venture capital-backed technology companies including TurnTide, acquired by Symantec for $28 million six months after founding, and Destiny Software, an Inc. 500 winner.
Lucinda has won many awards including the Eastern Technology Council’s Enterprise Award for CEO of the Year, was an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Philadelphia, and was named America’s 17th Most Influential Consultant by Consulting Magazine, and is an Eisenhower Fellow. She has served on the boards of Monetate, Semprae Labs, The Montessori School, and the World Affairs Council. She has as BA from University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Wharton School. Lucinda is a frequent speaker at industry events.
