Make Your Site Perform Better in 2013

Want to learn quick and easy ways to increase your site's performance in 2013? Look no further! This meet-up is featuring Matt Williams from Yottaa who will be providing attendees with helpful tricks and tips to make your site a triple threat.

For a long time the focus for Web Developers and Designers has been placed on two primary areas: design & usability. Make the site pretty and make it easy to navigate.

But there is a third component that should also be included, equally important yet potentially easier to master: performance. Make the site super fast in the browser without having to rely on crutches like a local cache or a fast connection.

There are several techniques for improving a site's performance and all of them are fairly simple to achieve (though not necessarily quick to do without some help).

Join of us for a night of food, fun and information, we promise you'll leave with a collection of procedures you can apply right away to see a significant increase in performance.

It was truly cold outside with the weather, however, it was very hot inside with this new Meetup group, its attendees, the presenter, and the important topic on improving web site performance. Kudos to the presenter who spoke, despite his sore throat, and his effort to engage audience by testing a few websites, despite a tech challenge from equipment in the room. Looking forward to this Meetup in 2013.

As Founder of Tech in Motion, I'd like to first thank everyone that braved the cold weather last night to come out to our first event of the year. For those who felt as though the presentation last night focused too much on selling their product and not enough on discussing the issues and tips on site performance, I'd like to apologize.

We are focused on putting together fun events every month where the Boston tech community can come together and learn something new, and we look forward to next month's presentation on DevOps as well as the Tech Mixer in March.

Presenter has terrible presentation skills. Technical difficulties were distracting. It seemed more of a sales presentation for yottabyte than anything.

Seriously? Is this just a pitch for Yottaa?

Hi everyone! If I haven't met you yet, I am the Nokia Developer Ambassador for New England. My job is simply to remove any friction between you and successfully publishing your app (paying for you DevCenter account fees, getting you hardware, etc)

I may not be able to make to the entire meeting tonight but I still wanted to touch base with you and let you know what I've got going on for January and February:

I can give you a new Nokia Lumia 800, pay for your Microsoft DevCenter fee, pay for the Telerik RadControls, pay for one million Buddy API calls and give you two Nokia support tickets ($1,500 total) just for building your first app. Not kidding, its that simple. No strings attached.

If you want more info email me "[masked]", see my post or ask me at the meetup.

    Email me if you're interested.

The meetup is not tonight. You are looking at the wrong day. Not sure what you are selling

Sorry, Thursday night. and I'm not selling anything. I'm giving away $1500 worth of stuff and a free phone to anyone who wants to write an app. No strings, nothing. show me an app and you get it all.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
