https://blog.twitter.com/2014/building-a-twitter-we-can-be-proud-of So Twitter is working on moving their diversity needle. On of the things I noticed is that the organizations they listed (their diversity partners) are mostly geared towards women. Not saying it's a bad thing...just something that happen to jump out for me while reading. What do you all think of this post?

@Marcellus, I believe it's because officially, the group that they've partnered with is "Women Techmakers" (https://developers.goo...). So the emphasis on "women" seems natural. Looks like an excellent opportunity though.

During this Meetup session we discussed increasing awareness and participation in Information Technology amongst our black students and youth. If anyone is interested in giving back to the Atlanta community (specifically with our young students) through the usage of your IT talents, please check out the non-profit CFY (Computers for Youth):

I'm on the board of NSBE Professionals Atlanta and we have Facebook coming to our general body meeting. It was mentioned that they are looking for software engineers. It may be good to have a resume. The event is May 20, 2014 @ the W hotel[masked]th street NE Altitude Ballroom 27th floor, 6:00pm - 8:30pm. You must RSVP. Here is the link
