    Hi,
    I'm a new arduino user.
I have one, but I don't have knowledge of electronics.
Am I fit to join this event?

Shane, Just a quick question, ins't this a Arduino Programing Project? Why not make a Larson program that blink several LEDs instead.. I don't know about Badges and such, 555 ( been using them c.70s) are great, but it been done. Dales Wheat has done it with a AVR Atmel Check it out http://www.dalewheat.com/products/ Yes I know The Evil Mad Scientist also did the 555 version for Make: mag.. http://www.evilmadscientist.com/2009/the-larson-scanner-kit/

This month, my kids have to learn two projects for their DIY badge that they are working on. They have to learn how to set up the Blink program in the Arduino. This seems a bit to easy, so I am thinking about having them build a larson scanner. Then they have to build a 555 timer. This should be fun.
