Oath Keepers of Orange County General Meeting

Tuesday, June 25, 2013 @ 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM - Speaker: Tim George of Civilian Arms Training Source (CATS)

Speaker: Tim George, Founder of Civilian Arms Training Source (CATS) , and his instructor team will provide live demonstrations and lessons in handgun and home defense. You will get a chance to participate in live drills using airsoft pistols.

Civilian Arms Training Source (CATS) was established to provide safe tactical firearms training to the beginner as well as the seasoned shooter. By educating the average citizen in proper firearms handling we believe that lives will be saved. Students are taught to develop their skills by repetition of the fundamentals. There is no excuse for negligence while handling a firearm.

We believe that Hollywood's approach when producing movies with firearms is often displayed as irresponsible and reckless and is teaching our youth and viewers in general to recklessly handle a firearm with no regard for safety. The images that are seen are mimicked, portrayed, and acted out on a daily basis in our society. Although there are a lot of movies that demonstrate good solid tactics and safety however the distance between very good and the very bad are disparaging. Unfortunately many will die because of personal irresponsibility, recklessness and lack of good training.

The high standards at CATS are maintained by our staff of instructors who always put the safety of students first. We care about the training that the student receives is at the highest level of professionalism of any training organization. We have a zero tolerance level for the individual that is not focused and does not take their training serious. This is acknowledged at the beginning of all classes.

We are giving you the student the best training that can be compared to any larger well known organization in the US. Our classes are designed to be as informative as possible for the limited time we have on the range. We are always open to what is new and works well therefore we are a process in progress.

Hopefully as citizens & agency personal increase their knowledge base and experience, they will vote in the direction that best serves our rights to keep and bare arms. We are in a fight against politicians that would like to see all of America disarmed abolishing all firearms. If you are not a Member of any Second Amendment Organization, we encourage you to join and help to preserve your rights. Knowledge is power and I believe by educating people about their firearms with solid training we can make a difference.

We're proud to offer our students training using the Center Axis Relock (C.A.R.) system, developed by Paul Castle of Sabre Tactical, via IPD Systems. C.A.R. consists of four easily-transitioned positions (high, combat high, extended, and apogee) that work harmoniously with the body. Harmonious body movement is important because it makes it easier to build instinctive reaction skills. And it's these reaction skills that could save your life if you someday find yourself in a gun fight.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
