My Favorite Photo Of The Week

Heading back home from Vegas you pass the huge solar energy farms. Snapped this on the highway from the car window (I wasn't the one driving). Blended an HDR layer with the original in PS.

Nice work! Normally I hate the power lines that obstruct so many beautiful scenes, but in this case it's part of the subject. Also, you've rhymed the power lines with the fence. It works for me. Nice!

I love this shot and the way you processed it. When you say you blended an HDR layer with the original, do you mean you took several shots at different exposures and blended them or is their a layer in photoshop you can add that makes this adjustment to your photo?

The HDR was processed from a single image as I was in a moving car at the time of capture. But the effect was too exaggerated. So I coped the image and added it as a layer in PS with the original image, using the opacity slider to find the right mix.

Fantastic! I have not tried that process. I have been playing with HDR but only with multiple images, not just one image. I'll have to try your technique, copying one image and layering it on the original, right? Did I understand that correctly? And thanks for getting back to me on this.
