What about the Buddhist Church, home to an active and welcoming community, on Pine? I certainly make a point to stop in front of the stunning Grace Cathedral in Nob Hill and enjoy the church bells.
Ever wondered what makes flocks of people congregate in one environment and not another? Beyond the exterior, what lies inside these places of worship? Wouldn't it be nice to be able to participate in your neighbors' activities with the sole purpose of better understanding them?
You could partake in Holi celebrations with new Hindu friends one week-end and attend an Easter vigil the following month. Most communities are warm and welcoming and just waiting for us to express a little bit of interest.
