Share the Sail

Share a sailing adventure as crew on this five and a half day adventure from St petersburg to Bimini Bahamas aboard this 41 foot luxury sailing catamaran, Sail La Vie.

This will be a oneway trip to the Bahamas where you will help in sailing the boat and standing watch while we take the boat into Caribbean waters for our summer charters.  All levels of boating experience are welcome.  This is a tremendous deal at less than a third of the normal rate charged for charters on this boat.

You will assist in the handling and steering of the boat as well as meals and clean up. You will have the opportunity to fish the gulf for Kingfish and Wahoo and the Atlantic for Mahi and Tuna (we even hooked a Marlin one year), Kayak, snorkel or explore the beaches of Bimini.

You will board the boat Monday night the 12th and we will depart at dawn on the 13th.  We will continue through the night, passing through the keys at Marathon and then riding the gulf stream up to Bimini. Depending on winds, seas and stopping to bring in the big ones, the trip will take approximately 40-50 hours.  That will leave a full day and a half for exploring Bimini.  You will need to make your own arrangements for flying out of Bimini on Saturday May 17 or staying at one of the local hotels or resorts.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
