Aedes Venus Genetrix is a sanctuary blending the ancient with the modern for those of all beliefs including those with different or alternative beliefs, or no beliefs, providing activities, assistance and community outreach covering topics, and offering various workshops, on ritual & ceremony, herbs, healing, education, arts, food, drink, mysticism, metaphysics, ancient/classical traditions, interpersonal relationships, tantra, intimacy, family , children and society, history, archeology, anthropology and pleasurable social activities.
This is a gathering of sacred human beings as a community engaging in, and seeking knowledge of, activities and topics that interest them as they did in ancient times at a central space, the Temple.

Venus is the divine ancestor and Mother of the Roman people through her son Aeneas, since the Roman Empire spread far and wide we are all her descendants. She is the Mother of the human race. Marriage, Procreation, Domestic Bliss, Safety, Health, Spirituality, Community, Love, Beauty, Chastity, and Sexuality and other and all aspects of family and community life are Her divine responsibility. Her divine responsibility also includes Victory, the arrival of spring, and gardens. Laughter, Freedom, Luck, Changer of Hearts, Purification, the Heavens, Friendships, War, Inspiration to this day of poets and artists and many other attributes are in Her purview. Venus is there even before our conception, to ensure it occurs, through gestation, at birth, throughout our lives and even in death where Her lush gardens great the transitioned person in the Garden of Venus in the Blessed Isles of the afterlife.
Whether one views Venus as a philosophic abstraction or anthromorphic being, She is an inspiration that has lasted since before written history.

A note about the classification of Tantra for the Venus Genetrix Temple: This alludes only an the esoteric form of Tantra which represents the *continuity* of the philosophical tradition in which the sacred is revered and the spiritual practices such as evocations, invocations, gestures and other aspects are adhered to. While it is true that aspects of Venus include love, beauty, desire, and fertility, those who require assistance with these matters in their private lives will be offered, upon request, private and discreet counseling from the ministry but beyond that such aspirants will be directed to another venue that will fit their needs. True Tantra is not sexuality, a Tantrik or Tantrika may incorporate his or her training into the sexual act or positions, however, the tantrik or tantrika will also incorporate Tantra into their entire lives as well. Modern ideology has shortchanged Mater Venus as an oversexed beauty but as Venus Verticordia (changer of hearts), a Temple was built for Her by under instruction of the Sibylline books to make up for the inchastity of three Vestal Virgins. Mater Venus emcompasses all it is to be human.
