Tell us why you are interested in exploring Tennessee's wild places?

Actually, I do quite a bit on my own, so will be great to share the adventure with others. I've been going to see the Cranes for about 10 years, now.

What Natasha is saying about this Meetup Group

Although we were one of the smaller hiking groups leaving from Tellico Plains, that day, our trail lead, Sunny Montgomery, had the challenge of meeting the expectations of several age groups, from youth to seasoned adults. For me, it was an introduction to detecting amphibians, some basic protocols to go into the woods with, and getting to know the site itself (Coker Creek Falls). We agreed that it's a bit more than an "easy" walk, with the hills, etc., along the creek. Was glad to have a walking stick!
