Urban Hike II - 5 mile Night Walk Through Nashville's West End

We're going to start at Eakin Elementary School near Fannie Mae Dees Park (aka Dragon Park) and planning to have dinner at the end (instead of mid-hike like in the old hike last year).  Please read the description for more details.

Departure Time: 6:30 pm SHARP (unless we have good reason to wait).
Distance: Roughly 5 miles
Hike Time: 2 hours
Rating: Moderate

We will start from Eakin Elementary School and head west to Love Circle and up the steps to the top for a 360° view of Nashville. Then, we'll head into Vanderbilt by Dudley Field and frat row to see any students hung over from the weekend.

Then, we'll head north to pass by the law school, the Owen Graduate School of Management, and the slightly creepy "Tree of Learning" before making it over the bridge to Peabody College, looking at all the naked statues along the way, before heading back toward Fannie Mae Dees Park via Belcourt to climb on the park's giant dragon and ending back at Eakin Elementary School.

Each week, we plan to walk or drive to a nearby restaurant after the hike.  Please come with suggestions on where else you would like to go the following week.  We'll try various affordable restaurants around the area.

Please note, this "hike" is different than the one last year.

Thank you for coming out on a cold and snowy spring evening! For me, it was good to get out after eating too much this past weekend.
