If you have agreed to join a member who is making a group. Please don't switch to another group.
2. POST FOR A SPECIFIC LEVEL:
Add what level of player you want to join you. If you dont mind playing with any level please add this in your post. When a group asks for a specific level say 3.5 or intermediate, they expect a player will be close to that level.
The person making a group decides to accept or pass if another member requests to join in their group.
3. MIXING WITH OTHER GROUPS:
Please mix and play with different players when possible. It's always fun to include new players and make new friends.
SWITCH COURTS: Switch with the next court after your group has played a set or two. Only if all players from both groups agree.
When you have 4 members who have confirmed to you by email or posted acceptance to join your group. Post all names in your group under the Discussions with a note to say you now have a group and include all names.
Members may still be looking to make or find a group. It helps them to know who has formed a group and which members are still available to join a group.
5. NO COURT GUARANTEE:
(There May Be No More Courts) After posting all 4 members names in your group under Discussions, Please email Karen to confirm. Courts fill up fast so whoever confirms by post and emails Karen will get the next available court. No guarantee that courts will still be available. Once all courts are full, your group will get an invitation to take the first available court at the next meet up.
6. WHEN WILL YOUR GROUP BE RSVP IN:
Once your post your group and email Karen. A response will be sent to confirm if you were successful in getting one of the open courts. These groups will be RSVPd into the meet within 48 hours. If full you will be offered a court for the following week.
7. WAITING LIST: Please Email Karen if you want to be a sub. .
8. WHO'S GOT THE BALLS:
New tennis balls are Not provided Please bring a can of new tennis balls. Please give $1 to the member who opens a new can. Please take the $1 if it is offered; It helps if we share the cost.
9. CANCEL WITHIN 48 HOURS:
Any member who cancels within 48 hours prior to a paid meet up will be asked to pay $20. The money will be donated to charity.
Email your group and the organizer immediately if you need to cancel. Your group will need to find a suitable replacement. Member who makes the group decides who replaces you.
You will be allowed to attend the next meet up, but any future cancellation through the Winter Season within 48 hours will mean you may Not RSVP for any paid meet up. If the cancellation is 48 + hours and it happens three times you will not be allowed to RSVP for the current Winter Sessions. (Please be sure you want to play before you confirm with a group)
If you cancel... A replacement sub should be the same playing level or higher than your NTRP. Email Karen and the person who made the group Immediately about your cancellation.
11. SHOWING UP LATE:
Please give yourself extra time! It is inconsiderate to show up last minute or late. Your group do not want to warm up twice and do worry if you will show or not If a meet up says 5.15 pm it means please show before 5.15 pm at the latest This allows time to find your group pay and change. I appreciate being able to go court at 5.30 with my group.
Any member who Shows up late twice will Not be allowed to participate in any more of this seasons paid Winter sessions.
12. NEW MEMBER?- IS IT YOUR FIRST PAID MEET UP?
Any member attending their first paid meet up: Contact Karen (organizer) by email regarding advanced payment + a deposit required. Online banking transfer is required on the same day your group has been RSVPd into a paid meet up. Advanced payment and deposit required within 24 hours or you may lose your spot.
Please don't post general comments under this meet up. All those who RSVP will receive emails for each comment. There have been many complaints from members and some have left the group because of it.
Exception: If you are offering a ride to members from a subway or an area in the GTA please post under the meet up itself. Someone may need to catch a ride.
All networking to find a group is done under DISCUSSIONS and not under this meet up.
Ethics: Please do not come out with the intent of taking players for other indoor groups. These are charity fundraisers.
