Webinar: Foundational Class on Herbal Constituents and Preparations

  • Jan 7, 2013 · 6:00 PM

Here is a part 3 of our 5 part foundational series. Upon registration you will receive a link to our live webinar. If you wish to watch it at another time, your link password will be valid for 1 month. You will also have some homework to complete to receive entrance to other parts, or if you are working towards your certificate.

  • Introduction to basic Herbal Preparations and how to judge quality
  • Intro to Plant Pharmacology/Herbal Constituents making POTENT remedies
  • Intro to Flower Essences and how to make them

The foundational series has been taught for almost a decade in person, and we are translating each section into a webinar format for distance learning. In this class we generally make some preparations, so I will attempt to add in a brief youtube video with a demo.

May be taken on its own or as a series. Take all 5 classes and receive a Foundations Certificate and entrance into more advanced classes at the school. May prepay for all at a reduced rate--email me for details. These classes will be offered at least 3 times prior to the certificate program in Community Herbalism that runs from Jan thru June every year. By completing this series you receive a discount on the program and can enter a little later in a different section.

Taught by Nicole Telkes, Director of the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine. Nicole is a Practicing Herbalist, Massage Therapist, and has a herbal preparation line, Wild Spirit Botanicals. Her passions include being outside looking at plants and educating about herbal medicine. She is the lead teacher for a 425 hour herbal program that has been training Texas Herbalists for over 8 years and has been in practice as a herbalist since 1998.

    Hi Nicole,

I've been attempting to find the links for payment for the webinars but I do not see it on this page. The school site brings you here for payment? Please send me an email at work or my personal email I am signed under in this site. Thanks!
