Who's in for a Holiday Party?

A great idea has just come in from very active member Jan B. She suggests we have a holiday party, at a centrally-located Mexican restaurant WE HAVE YET TO VISIT as a group. Some careful planning would have to go into it, and this poll is the first step in that direction. So, who's in? Before you answer, though, think about it for just a minute. Venues need to know a head count, and we need to provide them with accurate numbers, so only add your vote to this if you know for sure you would come, barring an unavoidable conflict. A big discrepancy between RSVPs and actual turnout would create a very uncomfortable situation for your humble organizers, so with that in mind, please cast your vote now! NOTE: What we're doing right now is gauging interest. Once we figure out how much interest there is, we'll zero in on a date.

How interested are you in business networking?

UPDATE: The "Meh" and "Naah" categories have been deleted because enough people have now responded "Yes! Book it!" to where it's just a matter of how large a table to reserve. (Note: it will most likely be a lunch event at the Terrace Club, next to Rockefeller Center, at a date TBD in December.) So please, let us count your "yes" vote if you're interested, so we can get an accurate head count. *******Are you in sales, or do you own your own business? Are you between assignments, and passing out resumes? A warm referral is worth a thousand cold calls (or $10,000.00 in advertising), and this is an opportunity for Texpats to help other Texpats to grow their businesses by referring each other directly to new buyers, clients, or employers. This Meetup has 190 members now, which provides us with an amazing opportunity for Texpats to help each other get ahead in a tough city. So, please help us decide whether or not to schedule business networking events on at least semi-regular basis!
