“ fantastic meetup! i actually got inspired to work on a dress my mother had worn in the 60s and passed along to me. Hopefully i will work on it before the next meet up, but if not I am happy I have a place to fix things that I already have. I loved the dyeing techniques I learned also and hope to put it to good use one day. Can't wait for the next meet up where we can learn about fixing old knit sweaters ;) highly recommended meet-up ( also side note: great company/ small intimate group) <3 ”

“ There are so many kinds of classes offered, and I feel that the prices are right for that kind of intense work. I will definitely be signing up for a few in the coming weeks and months. ”

“ Very good idea to have these workshops. This brings awareness to the center, adding skills and gives incentive to pursue classes. ”

“ Love the Center and the classes I have taken so far. Love the physical plant and set-uup, it is airy, light, and spacious. People are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what they teach. ”

“ Most satisfying meetups: Within an hour, you get to bring home wearables that you transform or make by hand. "Addictive," remarked one attendee. The expense and time of prep + clean-up that make crafts a pain at home are taking care of at the Textile Arts Center. Awesome, and it's free (for now). ”

“ I had wanted to take some classes there, but probably will not now. I do not see this center being successful with experienced craftspersons. ”
