Just a reminder that new awesome classes and programs have started at the Textile Arts Center (http://textileartscenter.com/adults
) and some of them run till 6pm.
In order to provide the clean and functional environment that makes working fun and relaxing, we need a little bit of time to set up and organize.
We will be here before the workshop, but doors will open at 6:30 pm
. If you are coming to the Center from afar and need to kill a couple of minutes, we recommend Root Hill Cafe on the corner of Carroll and Fourth Avenue for tea and coffee, and Bencotto on the corner of Carroll and Third Avenue if you are looking for a tasty slice or delicious soup or salad. We go to these guys for all our catering needs and they are very popular here!
You can also take a minute to visit the community garden across the street and try to identify some of the Bidens, Cosmos, Black-Eyed-Susan, Coriopsis and St. John's Wart that we planted for natural dyeing. So far only red and yellow color families are represented but indigo is soon to come!
Thanks for your participation and understanding.
See you tomorrow!
