• Songkran Festival (Traditional Thai New Year)
• เทศกาลสงกรานต์ (แบบดั้งเดิมปีใหม่ไทย)
Some members have attended in the past, and this is an interesting experience & delicious food! It is a wonderful taste of Thailand's culture & food. (Note: this is different from the larger festival @Wat Thai in Maryland one week later).
There will be various demonstrations, along with many vendors offering food, items, beverages, etc. (the time for the event is not posted, but it usually goes from morning until late afternoon).
Location: Wat Yarnna Rangsee, 21950 Shaw Road, Sterling, Virginia, 20164, USA
There will be food vendors, chairs, etc. at the event.
Parking: free parking. The event should have people directing cars to the next available spot(s). It is a busy event, and parking may take time (or you may have to walk for 3 to 5 minutes).
More info may be available on their website: http://www.watyarn.com/
Note: This event is free, and is open to the public. Based on past experience with this type of event, it is not easy to have a meeting place and time. We will not meet formally, but members can post when they are going, etc. to arrange to meet up.
