Dragon boating is one of the UK’s fastest growing watersports; it’s not just a great way to get fit, but also to make new friends, enjoy the great outdoors (and hopefully the weather) and participate in races up and down the country or even abroad!

Dragon boating is fun and challenging and well-known for its team building benefits.  It is a sport for all;  paddlers of all ages and abilities can train and compete together.  No previous experience is necessary.

Thames Dragons is a friendly team from a many different walks of life, with team members from all over the world, who share a passion for dragon boating. We range from paddlers who compete at an international level, to complete novices willing to learn, to those who join us for a quick paddling session now and again.

We have been around for 23 years, making us the oldest club in central London. Over the years through hard work and enthusiasm, plus lots of help from our highly skilled coaching team, we have won a collection of well-known trophies and recognition at league and national races.

But it’s not just about paddling; after a hard session on the water, on Sunday we often go for a well deserved drink or a bite to eat.  Throughout the year we have a busy social calendar from a quick drink after training, to meals out, BBQs, plus an annual end of season party and Christmas lunch.

So join us now so you can ;

·  Sample one of the fastest growing and most spectacular racing sports

·  Gain skilled instruction from our highly experienced coaching team

·  Meet a friendly team who range from complete novices to GB paddlers - all in one boat

·  Learn about dragon boating; the history, the races, the team...

·  Have fun and keep fit

·  Focus mind, body and soul – before treating yourself to lunch or a quick drink at the local
