Don't know what the dudes are gonna wear, but what better way to try yoga and beat the winter blues than in a 105 degrees Fahrenheit studio?!

The heat should help us noobs avoid injury and provide a pleasant retreat from all these damn polar vortices!

Follow the link and grab the $29 Groupon for unlimited visits in a month, or fork over $25 for one class.

Right from the breathing dragon's mouth...

What You Will Need:

Yoga Mat

Bottle of Water

Large Towel (mat and towel are included in the New Student Intro Offer and otherwise available for rent)

Dress in comfortable, light workout attire that you will not mind sweating in such as yoga shorts, tank top, or T-shirt.  Yoga clothing is available for sale at the studio for your convenience.

Bring a change in clothing, we have showers for you to refresh after class

Strongly Suggested to Best Prepare You:

Arrive at least 15 minutes before your first class to register and get comfortable with your surroundings.  Classes fill up quickly, register online to ensure your space in class.

Drink plenty of water the day you decide to come so that your body will be hydrated and ready to sweat.

Do not eat anything heavy 2-3 hours before your practice.  A light meal eaten two or more hours before your visit to the studio is ideal.

Reminder: please leave all valuables at home or in your car as we do not have lockers at this time.

Abandon the competitive mind-set, come with an open mind and a “can-do” attitude. Yoga is a practice, with the aim to make you healthier, calm the mind, open the heart, and accelerate our evolution.

Question, I just looked at the schedule and they have a 6 & 8:15 class, which will we be doing?

    February 3

    • Shawn

6:30PM class on Thursday 2/20. I will change the details above. You are a step ahead of me there Molly! ;) They suggest arriving 15 mins early too, I guess so we are in a more stress free mood to start.

Haha, Sounds good to me. It is good to be early, since they do start right on time. Plus, got to get a good spot and warm up in the room.

I've made contact with the breathing dragon himself. For our first class, we just arrive early with our groupon and they'll be able to accommodate us. Bring a yoga mat, a big towel, and a water bottle!

Thanks for the tip on the groupon I haven't found a good Bikram place since I moved up from Florida and this looks like it hits the spot!

I just bought a really great Groupon for Hot Yoga. It's in N. Jersey though. I can get the link if anyone wants to join :) Surya Yoga is offering a week of free hot yoga

    • Shawn

Free sounds good... I just wish it was closer! We could maybe do that after go-karts in Jersey City one day though... And then go climbing once we're all raced out and limbered up!!! Haha ok ok...

I have three studios I could recommend, but they all include crossing over the state border. =p Bikram Yoga Manayunk, Dana Hot Yoga and Sol Yoga. My favorite is probably Sol Yoga. :)

P.S. -- that picture is disturbing

Thanks Anna, if we all become yogis maybe we can hit up one of those places after a hike or something in that area - I just hope I survive this first class!

      January 29

  • Shawn

Jessica, I tried to snag the 5 classes for $10 - all sold out of that option. If we just do one or two sessions, is $29 a good deal?

Jessica's groupon is for a place right in Princeton, if that's a good value I say we all do that out of convenience.
