That is correct Bill...my mom was a sickly person...so we had to deal with socialized medical care.
Yes, naturally please, if it can be of help....use it!

Ilona, that is so telling, precise and concise. Could I quote you? This is knowledge you
gained from personal experience, right?

Under communism healthcare was free for EVERYONE. You didn't have to pay for visits, hospitalization, or your drugs.
The line to the doctor's office went around the block early in the morning, and if the doctor didn't get to you that day...you got to stand in line again the next day...etc. It was a very equal system...everyone was untreated equally.....unless you were friends with the doctor and slipped in through the back door!

If you wanted special treatment, you could go to the doctor's private office in his home...where he felt the envelope for thickness and if he felt it was too thin, he would tell you to go home and come back in a month when you had more money. If the money was enough, he would take care of you, sit, talk to you and determine what you needed. The problem was what you needed was usually not available......unless you had relatives in the west who could send it to you...and if it actually got to you through customs without being stolen!

Hospitals were great also, 6 in a room was considered a private room. The nurses were not abused by the doctors like here, they waited for patients to help each other to the bathroom, to clean up. There was a shortage of gloves, so they dried them on the radiators to be reused...they were for the protection of the doctors, not the patient. Food was plentiful and very good, home made by family members who cooked it and came in to feed loved ones. If you didn't have family...you were at the mercy of the other patients in the room, so if you shared with 12 people...you were more likely to be fed a bit here and a bit there.

I cannot wait for free healthcare!

It is clear that if the Federal Government succeeds in totally nationalizing
healthcare, then death panels will be implemented.

Vladimir Lenin said: "socialized medicine is the cornerstone of the arch of the
socialist state".

Communist are atheist. The human is considered "human capital." We only have
value if we add value to the State.

Freedom must be restored in this country to maintain our individual rights of
life and liberty.
