Statehouse politicians may get another chance next
week to advance Obamacare in Ohio. One possibility is Democrats
proposing an amendment to the budget that includes Medicaid expansion.
If this happens, only 11 Republicans would be needed to reintroduce the

- President Obama won Ohio in 2012 by 166,277 votes. If 75% of
Medicaid recipients self-identify as Democrats and hundreds of thousands
new enrollees are added here, how will a conservative candidate ever
win in America’s most key swing state?
- Once more we find ourselves in the fight of our lives. This issue
has ramifications for Ohio and all of America. Will you be able to say
you did all you could at this critical moment?
We must deliver the clear message that we will support the Reps who
stand strong against the federal government takeover of healthcare in
Ohio. We must also make it clear that we will support credible primary
challenges against any Reps who vote to accept or advance Medicaid expansion.
Our promise to primary Reps is sincere.
Our strong statewide network consists of tens of thousands of
grassroots individuals. We have almost a year to identify serious
candidates, secure funding, and organize in Rep districts before the
next primary. Doing so is well within our capacity and our commitment to
bring forth principled leadership in the state of Ohio.
