Ride Ratings

We welcome riders of varying skill levels. Every ride is different.

Going forward, each meetup ride will clearly indicate a Ride Rating in the meetup description to indicate the level of difficulty and skill required. In addition, there may be descriptive comments about the terrain, ride length, etc. Remember, it's ultimately up to you to assess your own skills and to decide whether a particular ride is for you. As always, ask an Organizer if you have questions.

  • Beginner - suitable for newer riders who have met all the minimum requirements to ride as outlined in the Official Rules and Regulations
  • Intermediate - suitable for riders with at least 1 year of solid experience
  • Advanced - suitable for experienced riders only. For example: long, twisty roads, etc.
  • Restricted - this is a special rating. Occasionally, a freeway ride will be organized specifically for large highway-capable "maxi" scooters with advanced riding ability. These rides will be clearly indicated in the meetup description as "Restricted: Freeway" or similar. There may be additional restrictions for these rides which will vary depending on the specific event. Please contact the Organizer hosting the event for details. Attendance will be at the ride organizer's discretion.
