Bev's cell -[masked]  NOTE:  cell reception not very good at this park.

There has been a request to help those who have an interest in becoming a hiker.

This is a training session to help you increase your stamina, pace and  strength for those HILLS and to eventually complete a 15km + walk/hike .

I will help you out to start with but eventually you will be doing these training sessions on your own but once in awhile I will come out to see how you are doing.  :-)

A different park each month every Satruday at 10am is the plan for 2 hours. No matter what the weather if you are really interested in doing this.  Your goal is to complete as much of the area as you can in two hours.

It will be tough to start with but you will be surprised how quickly you can increase your ability by being consistent. You have to be diligent, honest with yourself and truly make an effort. Which means I won't always be able to be there with you but if the same area is done each month you still have variety and something to compare your abilities with. For instance it usually takes 2 - 2 1/2hrs to complete the whole of Aldergrove Park so don't expect to do that off the bat, that will be your goal. It can actually be done in less time than that but that is really fast paced but we want to also enjoy the park. ENJOYMENT IS THE KEY, YOU DO NOT WANT TO FEEL LIKE THIS IS TORTURE OR GRUNT WORK.

We want to breath, sweat a little, laugh and have fun. You may be sore but that passes and it should be a good hurt to let your body know that it is working but increasing gradually in strength.
