The event was great last night. Friendly people, great vocal training, inspiring singing. I encourage everyone who missed last night's Guest Night to attend next week's.

No apologies necessary! If you did already contact Danielle by chance I'll let her know you're not able to make it. If you haven't and you do plan to stop by on the 17th shoot her an email: [masked] so she can make sure you have an audition slot. :) Hope to see you at a guest night!

Are you not doing the September 17 date anymore?

    September 4, 2013

    • Catherine C.

It is currently set to repeat for the 17th also, however I know the 10th seems to be "primary" an upcoming. It does show as a repeating event in fine print underneath. Sorry if that causes any confusion, we are still doing BOTH the 10th and 17th as guest nights and auditions. Thanks for reaching out! If you definitely want to audition it's additionally helpful to email our membership VP at: [masked] with which date you'd like a slot so she can try to schedule the rehearsal and evening accordingly. Thanks! :)

Through experimentation I found out your true voice comes and forms literally at the heart. When we sing our sweet spot you can feel a vibration at heart level. now wheather this is your center at the sternum or your heart actually responds sympathetically to your voice (in my case it cries sympathetically) I believe this is true. Singing from the throat damages your vocal chords as so many great rock voices have found out. I have been taking yoga and there were breathing exercises that helped me to realise how important the abs and diaphram are to singing. I can sing a lovely falsetto like the Stylistics of Phillip Bailey and sing the songs but I understand the sound is coming from the throat. I was told decades ago while jamming with a EWF type group I had a nice falsetto but shyness killed that. My worst enemy is myself in that respect. So singing will be a battle against myself.

I hope I would have grown some balls by then and be ready to belt out a song with gusto in or out of tune.

Haha, David, auditioning is the hardest part, but if you love to sing and be around music I think you'll really enjoy our rehearsal time! The good news is, the rehearsal comes first so you get to hang out and warm up and get to know us a little before there's too much pressure! :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
