Finally decided on Molly Malone's as it is near the train station for those traveling in and I've heard good things about it. I shall be there before 7 to make sure we get a good and quiet table, so feel free to turn up whenever you're ready.
The Amsterdam Educational Games Meetup Group (AEGUp) is a friendly social meetup to connect like minded people who are interested in educational games and other interactive media. Everyone is welcome, whether you're a leading teacher using games in your classroom, a developer looking to get some feedback on some ideas, or just someone looking to learn about what is going on in this dynamic sector but have no previous experience.
My friend Kirsten has been running this meetup (http://www.meetup.com/The-London-Educationa...) in London for a couple of years now and I loved it so much I decided to bring it with me to Amsterdam! From humble beginnings of 10 people in a pub's backroom, it now has a huge following and often has more people wanting to attend then they can fit in the conference hall! As this is a brand new meetup we will just be meeting casually, but as we grow we will have regular presentations and discussions by our members.
If you want to present an idea, product or anything then feel free to get in touch or just turn up on the day with what you need. Also if you know of a good pub/bar for our early meetups, or space that we can use for free (this is a non profit group after all) for when we grow, please let me know. Looking forward to meeting you!
