Yoga teaches that cultivating calmness, combined w/inner discernment of what is truly resonates with our higher selves, is essential for living in "the light of truth" which leads to true happiness. Each moment, even the most painful, can potentially take us deeper in spiritual growth and to the "state of yoga": the merging of the finite self with the infinite. In the directional way that the soul evolves, nothing goes to waste- however, in my own experience, meditation is the "great problem solver" that greatly helps transform pain into inner strength much quicker!
Our weekly Irvine-Lake Forest Ananda Group provides practical support to live in freedom and meditation is the backbone of our practice. If you'd like to feel innate joy, it's worth the effort, even the smallest bit of practice can make a huge difference, and I hope to see you for this coming Thursday for our topic: happiness.
