Meditation & the Joy of Working

"Work of any kind, if done in the right spirit, gives you victory over yourself."

 -Paramhansa Yogananda

Yoga teaches that transforming our attitude towards doing "work" to a spirit of service is an essential and a universal way to feel happiness, freedom, and joy in every compartment in our lives. This shift in focus combined with regular meditation practice is a transformative combination for spiritual growth that has stood the test of time.

Want to know how to support and sustain your deepest ideals yet still flourish in the material world? Meditation practice is inherently practical. Who wouldn't want to feel more relaxed physically, cooler under pressure, a clearer mind, and more intuitive in one's own heart-center? Described by the yoga master Paramhansa Yogananda as a "portable paradise," meditation has also been called the "ultimate problem solver" for facing challenges in the "cold light of day."

In this meeting, we'll explore how yogic introspection and lifestyle, including meditation, can lead to a growing sense of freedom and balance in achieving and spiritual goals. More than mere techniques, living yoga is a holistic way to find true harmony in spirit, relationships, body, mind, vocation. Based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, we will also learn how to be in life's process with a greater sense of well being, inner knowing, an even joy.smile
