Meditation and Self-Control

Regular meditation practice helps us to choose wisely in our lives- to feel calm and centered, regardless of outer circumstances, and naturally allow us to avoid "happiness thieves." While ancient yoga teaches that calmness from discernment always proceed wisdom- our weekly meetings provide the tools to put that into actual daily use. However, much more than just a series of techniques, this practice can take you to the heart of inner strength, stillness, and joy at the center of your being.

Or, as Yogananda expressed, "When the mind is calm, how quickly, how smoothly, how beautifully you will perceive everything."

 

 

All spiritual affiliations or none are welcome and no experience is required!

This meetup is part of a series of ongoing weekly meditation group meetings at this location.

We are a non-profit group but donations are always welcome! (suggested donation of 5-10 dollars but nobody turned away for lack of funds)

 

If you would like to volunteer in any way, i.e: bringing snacks, help set of clean up, that would be wonderful!

    do loquats count as a snack, my tree is ripening and I think I can harvest some??? What time is recommended to help setup?
