"Look fear in the face and it will cease to trouble you"
-Swami Sri Yukteswar as quoted in Autobiography of a Yogi
Regular Meditation practice helps us tune in to the essence of our being's subtle energy, not simply our outer physical form. The question is, how are we using that energy? Yoga teaches that by increasing and harmonizing the flow of energy within ourselves, we can feel more patient, intuitive, centered, and feel less vulnerable to inner worries and the external causes of stress around us.
In this meeting, we will explore ways to lesson the "inner mental busyness" that is fear based and find ways to get off the "hamster wheels" of worries. In our electronic age of "instant gratification" it is easy to feel impatient to find a "quick fix." This is a supportive, non-dogmatic group where people can experience meditation and yogic techniques not as another "add on to get more," but as tools to open to "the state of yoga"- beyond anxiety/impatience: into the freedom of acceptance, faith, and even joy.
Using the teachings of the great Yoga master Paramhansa Yogananda, you will gently be guided to learn powerful and scientifically proven methods to bring peace to your inner and outer world.
All spiritual affiliations or none are welcome and no experience is required!
